Bethlehem, Pa. (December 20, 2016) – Coordinated Health (CH), eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey’s leading specialty hospital network, announced the addition of two physicians to its Primary Care service line, bringing the company’s presence in that specialty to nine physicians across seven locations. Drs. Jinesh Gandhi and Michael Nimeh began seeing patients last week, and are both accepting new patients.
“We are happy to welcome these two hometown physicians to the Primary Care team,” said CH CEO Dr. Emil DiIorio. “In this specialty, it is especially important for doctors to be part of the communities they work in. Both Dr. Gandhi and Dr. Nimeh have been practicing in their respective regions for more than a decade, and we can’t wait to watch them grow with Coordinated Health.”
Dr. Jinesh Gandhi – Primary Care – CH Phillipsburg Campus
Dr. Jinesh Gandhi has been practicing Primary Care medicine for more than 18 years, the latter 12 years in private practice in Easton and Phillipsburg, New Jersey. As an Internal Medicine specialist, Dr. Gandhi enjoys treating the whole patient through the entirety of the healthcare experience, from counseling on treatment options to working with family members and caregivers to support family health goals.
“Phillipsburg is particularly unique, it has its own personality,” said Dr. Gandhi. “Many of my patients are elderly, and most of my patients bring their whole families to me, so I feel comfortable speaking to everyone to make sure my patients receive the best treatment they can.”
Dr. Gandhi specializes in geriatric care, including dementia, arthritis, cardiovascular issues, hypertension and metabolic problems. He has served as a Medical Director for a long-term care facility, as well as an investigator in diabetes clinical trials. He will offer extended evening hours on Tuesdays in addition to his regular office schedule.
Dr. Michael Nimeh – Primary Care – CH Bethlehem Campus
Dr. Michael Nimeh is a graduate of Dieruff High School in Allentown and Temple University. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from The University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri. As an Internal Medicine specialist, Dr. Nimeh has worked in Primary Care and emergency medicine settings for 20 years, providing a broad range of care for diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and many other complex diseases.
A sports enthusiast with a special interest in hockey, Dr. Nimeh served as Club President for Parkland Ice Hockey, leading them to a national title in 2015. He considers himself a family man and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, which makes him particularly suited for Primary Care.
“Primary Care, particularly Internal Medicine, is a very broad scope of medicine because it touches on multiple specialties and spans all ages,” said Dr. Nimeh. “I chose to join Coordinated Health because it’s an organization that never lost touch with the heart of medicine, which is quality patient care. I can get blood work, imaging, rehabilitation and specialist care all in one visit. We’ve got the patient covered through the entirety of their experience.”
