About

Philosophy of care

My motto is that if I listen to you hard enough, you will tell me what’s wrong. I also like to view you as a whole rather than focus on one problem. I see how your symptoms are impacting your daily life and try to improve upon that.

Why I entered medicine

I’ve always liked science, and any profession that incorporates biology and helping people is a good mix. I grew up in a family of doctors, so I was exposed to the field early on. I remember my dad seeing his patients in the supermarket, and it was just a very friendly encounter – you could tell his patients were very appreciative of him. I see that doctor-patient relationship as a special kind of bond, especially since I will see many of my rheumatoid patients for the rest of their lives.

Personal interests

My husband and I enjoy biking, and we do a lot of city-to-shore bike rides. We also golf and have done rec league softball and football. Really, we enjoy any sport. We like hiking, too, as we can take our young daughter with us.
