A native of the Hazleton area, Dr. Falvello spent his childhood days playing football, basketball, and baseball on the many playgrounds around town and in the Sugarloaf Valley. He went on to study Biology at The Pennsylvania State University and graduated in 1999. After college, he studied and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005. He then went on to an orthopedic surgery residency at Pinnacle Health System in 2005.
During his training at Pinnacle Health Systems Dr. Falvello participated in both routine and complicated orthopedic procedures relating to total joint replacement, spine surgery, and sports medicine. As part of his training he studied trauma at Hershey Medical Center, where he participated in many complicated and routine orthopedic trauma procedures.
Dr. Falvello also studied pediatric orthopedics at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the nation’s No. 5 children’s hospital for orthopedic surgery as ranked by US News and World Report. At Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, he participated in complicated spinal reconstructions, corrective surgeries for pediatric deformities, pediatric trauma surgeries, and pediatric and adolescent sports medicine procedures. Dr. Falvello graduated from Pinnacle Health System’s orthopedic surgery residency in 2010 as a chief resident.
After graduation, Dr. Falvello returned home to provide orthopedic services to the his hometown region. Since his return home in 2010, he has been employed by the Greater Hazleton Health Alliance with Alliance Orthopedics and has been based at Hazleton General Hospital.
Dr. Falvello is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
He resides in Sugarloaf with his wife, Isabella and their son, Wilson. Dr. Falvello is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fishing, hunting, and hiking with his dog, Pip. He participates in numerous community oriented groups and organizations and supports several local athletic teams.
