Thanks Dr. Terpstra!
“ Dr. Terpstra was the first Dr. to do a successful surgery on me. I had a knee replacement surgery done in May of 2012. Everything was explained beforehand and although I was skeptical, I decided to go through with it. Everything went fine and I'm looking forward to having my other one done next May. I would definitely recommend Coordinated Health to people. Their Staff, Doctor's and Hospitals are extremely well organized and thorough. Also, the physical Therapy Staff! they are GREAT! Thank You Dr. Terpstra ”

Dr. Terpstra Helped Make Experience Pleasurable
“ Daniel Terpstra is the only physician I have had the pleasure of meeting at Coordinated Health. I found Dr. Tepstra to be professional yet very personable while explaining everything in detail regarding my condition, options, surgery and post op recovery. My entire experience with Coordinated Health, its staff and campuses' has been an excellent one.  I hope to remain in good health, but if something should arise, I will not hesitate to contact your offices and will highly recommend you to my friends, family and colleagues. Many thanks to everyone at Coordinated Health for making what could have been a very stressful and unpleasant procedure and recovery into one that I really didn't mind at all!! ”

Former Employee Treated for Degenerative Osteoarthritis by Dr. Terpstra
“ As a former employee of Coordinated Health, there was no question as to where I would seek orthopedic care and possible surgical intervention. After suffering for a year with early degenerative osteoarthritis, I met several doctors at Coordinated Health and felt the most comfortable with Dr. Daniel Terpstra. He followed my case for several months and once the hip pain got bad enough that I needed a cane to ambulate, we realized it was time for a total hip replacement. I was fearful of this huge step as I am only 51 years old, but he made me feel comfortable and confident that his team at Coordinated Health would make this as easy as possible. One week ago I had the procedure and must commend Coordinated Health in all aspects of their hospital care at the Allentown campus for such a wonderful experience for my family and myself. From the nursing staff, physical therapists, administrative staff, medical staff and food service (which was extraordinary). I am so grateful to them all for making my surgery and three day stay at their facility a remarkable one.Thank you Coordinated Health for taking such great care of me. ”

Dr. Terpstra is Easy to Understand
“ Dr. Dan Terpstra as he is very thorough and easy to understand as to what is wrong, why it’s wrong, what he is going to do to fix it and what to expect after the operation……Did a great job on my rotator cuff operation – back to 100% and happy I did it. ”

Jessica
“ I started PT with Jessica, three years ago after rotator cuff surgery. Then, again, I requested her for my therapy last year after right knee replacement. And again, I requested Jessica for therapy, beginning in a week, after my left knee replacement. Jessica is a great therapist, as is her assistant, Eric. She takes the time to answer any questions, and has a genuine compassion for helping her patients. I cannot recommend her enough. Follow her direction, work hard and you will recuperate in no time. Following both of my surgeries, I was slated for three months of PT, and in both, I was discharged two months after beginning PT. I had an excellent surgeon, Dr Terpstra, and excellent after care from Jessica. Thank you. ”

Dr Terpstra
“ In 2011, I needed my rotator cuff repaired, I was extremely lucky to have Dr Terpstra recommended to me. At first meeting, I found him to be very knowledgeable, very professional, very passionate, and very caring. I knew he was the doctor I needed and wanted to help me. Though I was a little anxious about surgery, he guaranteed me the best care through coordinated health and the entire system of caring professionals. My surgery was a success. In 2013, I, again, needed orthopedic care to have my right knee replaced, and I turned to Dr Terpstra. Again, a successful surgery. Now in 2014, a left knee replacement. Again, Dr Terpstra. You need to feel a connection with your doctor of choice and have total trust in your doctor. I wouldn't want my orthopedic care done by anyone else or any other team. Three days until surgery and I have no hesitation. I know that I will receive the best care in this area and I will be walking, again, within days of my surgery. Thank you, coordinated health. ”

Impediment
“ When I was fourteen years old, I was practicing with the high school varsity soccer team during preseason. I had been playing throughout the east coast, going from game to game, every single weekend. I was on a nationally ranked team and I did not know how to go throughout life without playing soccer every day. Not even a week after school let out, I experienced my first ACL tear. I was hip-checked playing defense and my knee gave out as I went to catch myself. It felt like 2 pops in my knee and my whole body went limp. I was terrified because I had never been injured before that moment. I also did not know anyone who has had this injury throughout my whole soccer career. I went to Coordinated Health a few days later to meet with a recommended orthopedic, Dr. Terpstra. He did some tests on my knee and scheduled me a MRI, which led me to receive the news that I had indeed torn my ACL and meniscus. After my surgery, I thought it was the worst pain anyone could go through. The last thing I wanted to do was work out at physical therapy where I had never been before. Within the next few days, I met with Jared Kohler at the Wind Gap location. I was doing the simplest exercises yet it was one of the hardest things to do. Although I loathed going to PT two days a week, I finally met Jared's assistant, Michelle Tice. I worked with her from that point on and she didn't treat me like a baby like everyone else was. She pushed me to work harder and made me finally laugh at myself. I loved going to PT after that. At the end of my 6 months of therapy, I left Michelle and started working with a Frank Lupin at the pulse program. It was the best decision I made during that recovery because he made me feel confident and strong again in my knee. Right when things were looking up, I was in gym class and went to do high jump on the track. As I jumped, I felt my knee pop. Instantly the tears came to my eyes because I knew exactly what it meant. People kept telling me to keep positive and it was probably nothing but I was absolutely devastated. I went to Dr. Terpstra again and he confirmed that I tore my ACL on the same leg, but only 20%. He said I could go to PT to get it stronger but chances were that I would eventually tear it completely. I got to work with Michelle again, which at least brightened up the situation. 4 months of recovery led me right into soccer tryouts for my sophomore year. First day, first scrimmage, I was fighting for a ball with my teammate and there was the pop again. I knew what it meant but I remained strong so that I didn't come off as weak to my team. I refused to admit that I had torn it so I kept playing throughout the season. It hurt a lot at the beginning, but I adapted to the pain and the constant clicking in my knee. However, I got to the point where I couldn't go on anymore like that. I went to Dr. Terpstra and went through the whole reconstruction process again. I even followed Michelle to her new location in Bethlehem, just to work with her. I worked so hard and so efficiently because I wanted to play my junior year so badly. I was running out of time and opportunities to play soccer. Eventually, I was cleared and decided once again to work with Frank at pulse. He knew he had to get me strong if I continued to play soccer. After all my hard work, I went into my junior year playing the sport I loved. I wasn't where I was before my surgeries, but I was happy I was playing. However, toward the end of the season, I tore my meniscus. I ended up getting my third surgery and hopefully my last. I am so grateful for all the the coordinated health members who I worked with and how dedicated they were to help me play the sport I love. I don't know what I would do if I never worked with them, but I am so happy I did. They all impacted my life in such a huge way and I hope they do for all student athletes who have to through serious injuries like myself. ”

Football
“ During a football game I tore my ACL. I thought there was a chance I wouldn't be able to play football again. But when I met Dr. Terpstra my thoughts changed. I looked forward to getting back on the field. Dr. Terpstra did my surgery and told me to do therapy all the time and not to take it lightly. That's when I met Jeremy and Tara. They brought be threw my six months of rehab. There were there every second. I couldn't ask for any better team members than these people right here. Because of them, I'm back on the football field preparing for my next season. ”

Great experience.
“ I Injured my right shoulder when I was 13 . I enjoyed throwing sports and tennis. However, after years of wear and tear, my right shoulder began to hurt more and more as I played sports and it also began effect tasks in my daily life. I decided to get an MRI when I was 23 to see what the problem was. After the MRI was read Coordinated Health set me up with an appointment to see Dr. Terpstra. He is very friendly and did a great job of explaining what the surgery and healing process would entail. The surgery went great. Dr Terpstra and the staff did an amazing job. The healing process went smooth. The Physical therapists did a great job and were fun to talk to. I met with Dr. Terpstra frequently so he could check my progress as I worked through therapy. He always seemed committed to trying to do what was best for the patient. My shoulder feels better then it has in a long time. I rarely experience any pain. I can't thank Dr. Terpstra and the Coordinated Health staff enough. ”

Dr. Terpstra Deserves 7 STARS!
“ I trusted Dr. Terpstra the first time I looked into his eyes. I told him that I need to be able to train and teach KARATE at a high level. He gave me 2 new knees and two semi-new shoulders, and I am BACK. Punching and kicking stronger than I was before. Saying,"Thank You", is all I can do here, but from my heart; my wife, daughters and myself - with all our heart, appreciate EVERYTHING you have done. ”

He fixed what other surgeon couldn’t!
“ Dr. Terpstra is simply AMAZING! I had a previous surgery that only made things worse and he was kind enough to accept me as his patient and give it a try to fix what other surgeon couldn't! It's only been a month after surgery and I already feel GREAT!!!! The pain has improved significantly and it's not even healed! Genius doctor. Highly recommended! I cannot wait to get back to the gym and be "Normal" + pain-free again! Thank you Dr. Terpstra! God bless you! ”

Couldn’t be happier!
“ About 8yrs ago I fell down some stairs and something in my knee "went". I went to another orthopedic facility and had an MRI and was told nothing was wrong....well 8 yrs later and many days of pain and knee instability and giving out I finally made an appointment to see Dr. Terpstra. From the moment he did the hands-on testing in the exam room he knew exactly what was wrong, but ordered the MRI to be safe. I am now one month post-op and I just turned 48. I know I still have a long road ahead but I feel 100% better already! The arthritis pain is gone and my ACL is getting stronger. From the receptionists at all your locations, to the nurses and doctors at the surgery center, my PT team and of course Dr. Terpstra I don't think it's possible for me to be happier! Way to go Coordinated Health, you have an awesome team! ”
