Allentown, Pa. – December 3, 2018 – Coordinated Health (CH), a hospital and health network with locations throughout eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey, announced that Dr. Christie Razavi has joined its Endocrinology physician team. She will treat patients in Bethlehem and Wind Gap.
“I became very interested in the diverse nature of the diseases in endocrinology, but diabetes is my specialty area because it’s a very personal disease,” said Dr. Razavi. “For me, it never gets boring or old, and I can go along that journey with the patient and help them manage it better.”
Dr. Razavi earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Miami University in Oxford, OH in 1998. She then completed her Master of Arts in Anthropology from San Diego State University in San Diego California in 2003 before going on to complete her medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA in 2008. She also completed an Internal Medicine residency at VCU, along an Endocrinology Clinical and Research Fellowship.
“I try to approach each patient where they are so they can feel confident and not hindered by their disease,” said Dr. Razavi.
Prior to joining Coordinated Health, Dr. Razavi was an endocrinologist at Joslin Center in Springfield, IL, beginning in 2015. She also acted as an endocrinologist for a year from 2014 to 2015 at Inova Medical Group in Fairfax, VA and also a Diabetes Clinic Instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA from 2011 to 2012. She is ABIM Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and is professionally affiliated with the American Medical Association and the Endocrine Society.
