Allentown, Pa. – November 6, 2018 – Coordinated Health (CH), a hospital and health network with locations throughout eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey, announced that Dr. Timothy Salkauskis has joined its Primary Care and Sports Medicine physician teams. He will treat patients in Allentown and Bethlehem.

“Much of the influence of choosing medicine came from my father, a family and emergency medicine physician who showed me how selfless and respected the profession is,” said Dr. Salkauskis.

Dr. Salkauskis earned a Bachelor of Science in Life Science with minors in Physiology & Environmental Chemistry from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, in 2009. He earned a Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica, West Indies, in 2013. He completed a Family Medicine Residency in 2017 and a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship in 2018 at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

“I specialized in family medicine because being able to develop relationships and seeing patients throughout the course of their life was the natural fit for me,” said Dr. Salkauskis.

Dr. Salkauskis holds professional memberships with the American Association of Family Practice and American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He is BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certified and also holds an ABFM Board Certification. He has participated in volunteer community activities including Simon’s Fund, Drexel Family Medicine, Drexel Sports Medicine, and the Philadelphia International Cycling Classic. He participated in competitive mountain biking in Canada as well as road racing, but now enjoys recreational cycling.

“The big draw for me in joining Coordinated Health was hearing the story of how the company came to be and grew, developing coordinated care and removing barriers,” said Dr. Salkauskis.  “Coordinated Health strives to help the patients but also help the physicians.”
