Chiropractic is recognized as one of the safest, drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of neuromuscular complaints. Chiropractors care for patients of all ages with a variety of health complaints, most notably neck pain, low back pain, and soft tissue (muscle) conditions.

Chiropractors perform a thorough, comprehensive history and physical examination and make use of the latest diagnostics including x-ray, CT, MRI and EMG’s. If a case is found to be amenable to treatment, procedures include spinal manipulation, physical modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stim, and many soft tissue techniques such as Graston instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and laser therapy. Chiropractors also stress education on exercise and stretching, posture, diet, and overall healthy lifestyle.

It is this conservative approach that is so crucial in treating neck and back pain in light of today’s widely recognized opioid epidemic. Opioid deaths have tripled since 1999 with some 16,000 deaths in 2013. The estimated aggregate economic cost to our society is 78.5 billion dollars. Having effective, safe, non-opioid treatments such as chiropractic is essential in fighting this epidemic.

At Coordinated Health chiropractic has been part of Spine Care since 1994. Together with rehab and physical therapy, physical medicine, and orthopedic spine surgery chiropractic uses our patient – centered functional based philosophy. The end results being the reduction of pain but more importantly return to activity for all of our patients.
