Washington DC – September 10, 2018 – Coordinated Health’s Bethlehem Hospital has been recognized as a Best Hospital for 2018-19 by U.S. News & World Report. Bethlehem Hospital received recognition for both Knee Replacement and Hip Replacement.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings, now in their 29th year, are part of U.S. News’ patient portal, designed to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive care for life-threatening conditions or for common elective procedures.

“We are excited to be included again on this elite list of the nation’s top-ranking hospitals,” said Amy Nyberg, CH President and Chief Operating Officer. “This is further evidence that our relentless focus on providing the best possible clinical care and patient experience results in excellent outcomes. This award recognizes the hard work of our entire team of physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, technicians, and the many staff members who support them. It is a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team.”

For the 2018-19 rankings, U.S. News evaluated more than 5,000 medical centers nationwide in 16 adult specialties, procedures and conditions. The rankings were assessed by state and metro area, and U.S. News recognized hospitals as high performing across multiple areas of care.

The U.S. News methodologies include risk-adjusted survival and readmission rates, volume, patient experience, patient safety, quality of nursing care and other care-related indicators.

Best Hospitals was produced by U.S. News with RTI International, a leading research organization based in Research Triangle Park, N.C.
