Center for Joint Health
Orthopedic surgery, joint replacement surgery, imaging, and physical therapy
The Coordinated Health Center for Joint Health, part of Lehigh Valley Health Network, encompasses orthopedic physicians who specialize in caring for knees, hips, and shoulders. The vast majority of people experience joint pain at some point, and when that pain is related to an injury or a degenerative condition like arthritis, it's time to see an orthopedic joint specialist.
Our orthopedic specialists perform surgeries for all types of knee, hip, and shoulder injuries as well as knee, hip, and shoulder replacements.
When you should see a joint specialist near you
We probably don't need to tell you that you should always see a joint specialist for a broken bone or fracture. You should also make an appointment (or come to one of our walk-in orthopedic injury centers) for severe arthritis, chronic joint pain, and slip-and-falls and other injuries, especially when rest and ice packs don't seem to be helping.
Reasons to see a joint specialist include:
- A recent injury to the knee, hip, or shoulder
- Joint pain accompanied by heat, swelling, and redness
- Gradually progressive pain that is worse with weight-bearing
- Severe joint pain that prevents you from getting around or doing your daily activities
- Difficulty moving a joint
- Moderate or advanced arthritis
- You've been told you might need a joint replacement
