Philosophy of care

My philosophy of care is that I think of you as a person, not a number. I treat you as a whole. I consider your social aspects and things going on in your life when coming up with a treatment plan.

Why I entered medicine

When I was young, all of the kids in my neighborhood, whenever they fell off their bike or got hurt, came to me and I patched them up. So my dad said to me, “You should be a PA.” And I said, “What’s that?” So, we did some research on it and my dad really encouraged me, and I became a physician assistant.

Community involvement

I coach my son’s baseball team and basketball team. I’m on the PTA at my son’s school.

Personal interests

I used to play softball for years, and I like being outside, going kayaking and being on the water whenever possible. I like puttering out in my garden. We have almost any kind of fruit and vegetable – broccoli, squash, eggplant, spinach, sunflowers and pumpkins. You name it, we probably have it.
