James Sunday, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with Coordinated Health, part of Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Dr. Sunday is a sports medicine fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. He performs all surgeries for hips, shoulders, and knees, including anterior hip replacements. He graduated from Parkland High School, where he was a state champion in power-lifting, and he went on to complete his undergraduate degree at University of Delaware and medical school at Hahnemann University (now Drexel University). He graduated at the top of his medical school class, receiving the Dean’s Award for being the first in his class.
Dr. Sunday’s interest in athletics led him to study anatomy and physiology in college. From there, his progression to medicine was a natural next step as he wanted a vocation in which he could make a contribution to the lives of others.
A Lehigh Valley native, he resides locally with his wife and four children.
