Thomas Witter, PA-C
Thomas Witter PA-C is a Physician Assistant with Coordinated Health, specializing in Orthopedics. He is located in Allentown, Bethlehem, Lehighton, Hazleton, and Pittston.
Thomas earned his Bachelor of Arts in Natural Sciences from Messiah College in 1978. He earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Penn State Hershey in 1981. He completed his post-graduate residency in Surgery from Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD from 1982-83.
He worked as a Physician Assistant from 1981-1982 in Elizabethtown Community Hospital in Elizabethtown, NY. After completing surgical residency in 1983, he joined OAA-Orthopaedic Specialists, initially working as a hospital based PA, involved in Joint Replacement, Sports Medicine, as well as Trauma Surgery. He assisted in Hand, Foot/Ankle, and Spine surgery. He became involved in office treatment in addition to the Hospital management. In 2010, he joined CHS along with Dr. Thomas Meade, continuing to focus on surgery of the Knee, both Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement surgery and management of arthritic knee patients.
Thomas was drawn to healthcare by his interest in helping people medically after involvement as a member of the National Ski Patrol at age 18, for the next 25 years. He become involved as an EMT as well as assisting in the college Athletic Training facility while attending Messiah College.
He chose Coordinated Health out of a belief that it is more progressive and “forward thinking” in the surgical and nonsurgical management of patients from a musculoskeletal standpoint. He appreciates the focus on early return to normal activity for all patients.
Although he is no longer involved with the National Ski Patrol due to professional time commitments, he continues to enjoy skiing – both Downhill as well as Cross Country. He enjoys sailing, hiking, and some limited biking.
